Evansville sits in the northwest corner of Douglas County, out in lakes-and-farm country where wind and the freeze-thaw of a hard Minnesota winter are tough on a roof. We’re through this part of the county regularly, handling full roof replacements, repairs, and storm- and hail-damage restoration — with straight answers about what your home’s exterior needs from a comprehensive inspection and honest documentation, including help with an insurance claim when the damage is real.
Evansville sits in western Douglas County, part of the home territory we cover every week out of Alexandria. The crew that inspects your roof is the one that does the work.
Evansville began as an 1859 stagecoach stop on the St. Cloud–Fort Abercrombie route and was platted in 1879 when the railroad arrived. It still keeps a real stock of century-old buildings — the 1897 town hall and the 1912 building that now houses the Evansville Art Center among them — and the Central Lakes State Trail runs through town. Older buildings like these reward exterior work that respects their age.
Ice dams are the season’s stealth problem: heat escaping the home melts snow on the upper roof, and the runoff refreezes at the colder eaves, backing water under the shingles. An inspection can flag exterior damage and the warning signs before they reach your ceiling.
A storm passing through doesn’t automatically mean your roof is damaged, and we won’t say it is when it isn’t. Plenty of our inspections end with “you’re good” — and that’s exactly what we tell you. It’s how we earn the next call years down the road.
Roofing (repair and full replacement), siding, and storm-damage documentation. Our workmanship carries a 5-year warranty, separate from the manufacturer’s material warranty on what we install. For storm work we document the exterior conditions we observe and prepare a construction scope and repair estimate as your contractor — we don’t interpret insurance coverage, act as your public adjuster, or negotiate your claim. Primary-source record — Minnesota DNR climate journal. Reviewed July 2026.
June 20–21, 2022. A severe overnight storm moved across Douglas County. The Minnesota DNR documented a death and a hospitalization near Alexandria when the storm blew a tree onto a camper at a resort on the west side of Lake Mary, along with widespread tree damage throughout the Alexandria area — one of several rounds of severe storms to hit the county that summer. Evansville sits inside this same Douglas County corridor, so homes here face the same open-country wind, summer hail, and long freeze-thaw winters — the three forces hardest on roofs and siding. When a storm does hit, we inspect it in person and tell you straight what your home’s exterior needs from a comprehensive inspection and honest documentation, including help with an insurance claim when the damage is real.
