The distinctive homes of the lakes country deserve a roofer who knows them — lake homes, log homes, timber frame, cabins, and historic properties.
Steeper pitches, complex rooflines, exposed timbers, tight lake-lot access, older structures. We’ve roofed lake homes on Lake Reno, log homes near Glenwood and Villard, a timber-frame home on Mill Lake, historic homes in Sauk Centre — and a church in Brooten.
Premium materials, careful hands, and the same 5-year workmanship warranty on every job.
On one timber-frame custom home, tearing off the old roof exposed water intrusion and rot in the structural insulated panels — the kind of hidden damage a lesser crew patches over and forgets. We didn’t. We tracked down the home’s original timber-frame builder, who connected us with the panel manufacturer, and worked from their documented, engineered repair instructions for exactly that failure — plus a plan to keep it from returning decades down the road.
That’s the standard: when we find something we haven’t seen before, we don’t guess our way through it. We go to the people who built it, get the fix right the first time, and make sure the homeowner isn’t paying for the same problem twice.

Log homes, timber frame, lake homes, cabins, and historic properties — homes that need a careful eye and craftsmanship beyond a standard roof.
Yes — we take the extra time to protect the character of an older home, re-sheathing and detailing carefully rather than rushing it.
We roof steep-pitch and architecturally complex homes with the right safety systems and experience — the kind of job not every crew will take.
We’d rather earn your trust than push a sale. A lot of our inspections end with good news — an honest “your roof and siding have plenty of life left.” When we do find storm, hail, or age-related deterioration, you get straight answers and clear photos, never pressure. Either way, you walk away with documentation of your home’s exterior health — the kind of record that helps with insurance, resale, and peace of mind. We’re building a group of west-central Minnesota neighbors who trust us to tell them the truth, year after year, with annual check-ups that catch small problems before they get expensive.
Lake homes and cabins in the Alexandria area come with their own challenges. Many sit under heavy tree cover that drops needles and shades the roof, holding moisture and moss. Others are exposed to open water and the wind that comes with it. Steeper cabin pitches, additions built over decades, and seasonal use all change how a roof should be built and maintained. We are comfortable with the details that come with lake-country roofs — from ice-and-water protection at the eaves to metal roofing options that shed snow and last for decades on a hard-to-reach cabin.
A year-round lake home and a weekend cabin have different needs, and so do the people who own them. We talk through how you use the property, what access looks like, and what makes sense for a roof you may not be checking on every week. Whether it is a full replacement, storm repair, or getting a cabin buttoned up before winter, we give you the same honest inspection and straight answers we give in town.
Free, no-pressure inspection — we’ll tell you straight what your home needs.
